The final scheme

Since the public consultation, Grupotec has been working closely with the local planning authority, stakeholders and near neighbours to finalise the proposal taking into account the concerns raised.

In response to feedback from the public consultation and several kitchen table meetings with site neighbours, as well as emails and phone calls they have:

  • Created a 20m to 25m buffer to the ancient woodland

  • Will be providing an orchard adjacent to the existing Public Bridleway

  • Pulled back panels from near neighbours in various locations to reduce the visual impacts from these properties.

  • Increased the planting for those immediate neighbours and the listed building to limit visual footprint.

  • Assured the access route for construction vehicle does not go through Hacheston in order to minimise disruption to the village and its residents

In addition, to further mitigate views from the Public Bridleway, a hedge will be re-introduced following the ancient field boundary approximately at the approximate high point of the field.
